How this time difference calculator works
The calculator converts both times into minutes from midnight, then subtracts the start value from the end value. If the end value is smaller, it assumes the time range passes midnight and adds 24 hours.
That makes it practical for shifts, journeys, study blocks, appointments and daily planning.
Example use case
From 22:30 to 06:15 is 7 hours 45 minutes. If you remove a 30 minute unpaid break, the working time becomes 7 hours 15 minutes.
How to use the time difference calculator
Use this page for quick time maths when you need a clear answer in both clock time and decimal hours. That is especially useful when a payroll or billing system uses decimals instead of hours and minutes.
The page also supports internal linking into CalcBeacon's broader time and work tool family, which helps users move from basic time maths to work-hour and timesheet tasks.
